MR. YUK TURNS 35

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MR YUK!

Remember Mr Yuk? He was always hanging out under the kitchen sink in our house, warning me not to drink a bottle of Drano. Well, today, Mr Yuk turns 35! Here's some info! He was created in 1971 to replace the common skull and crossbones symbol which apparently had little-to-no meaning to children who often equated it with exciting things like pirates and adventure. Although Mr Yuk has helped protect millions of curious children worldwide from poisoning, there are still 4 million accidental poisoning reportings in the U.S. alone each year. 65% of those involve children. If you'd like a free sheet of Mr. Yuk stickers, just send a self-addressed stamped envelope to:

Now you know how to better protect the little ones from doing a beer-bong of cleaning supplies! and knowing is half the battle!!
