CAPTAIN CORPSE

CAPTAIN AMERICA's comic and its future has been a reaccuring topic of late since the character was killed. Well finally CAPTAIN AMERICA #26 is about to come out; May 23rd. Its the first issue since his death and I'm looking forward to seeing where writer ED BRUBAKER takes us without the leading character. Here are 3 pages from the issues. Wow, seeing Cap like that is really fucked up. Yes, that's the point, but its still fucked up. I think the "Jesus Pose" is a bit much, but whatever. Personally, I think seeing his body like (undignified & arguably disrespectful) further diminishes the legend and the symbol that he was. But then again, perhaps that's the point.

what,..did he just lose all of his muscle mass?....bc that's what i hear happens, you know,... when you die,...your muscles shrivel up to look look like a skeleton. They don't harden from rigamortis, or anything, they shrivel, so that you look like a zombie. (or at least that's what all the movies show)

-does any artist who draws "realistically" ACTUALLY know the human body or anotomy. Do they think about this stuff?, do they know what a 6'4" 224 lb man would look like??? Or do the all get the same 6 foot 180 lb model to do all of their poses for men, and the 115 lbs cheesy Maxim model for theirfemale references.( or airbrushes,..which ever the case may be).

-man,..sorry,..I'm in a pissy mood

Dude, did you read those pages?

Tony Stark: "Something's happened....we had to bring him here.... he's the only perfect super-soldier specimen in the world....Our best GUESS, until we get the labs back, is that the super-soldier serum REVERSED its effects when he died...."

Ease down.... ease down....
