JERRY NELSON PASSED AWAY

Puppeteer JERRY NELSON passed away this past Thursday night, after suffering from emphysema for several years. He was 78.

For more than 40 years, Mr. Nelson gave puppeteered & voiced several characters on "Sesame Street", "Fraggle Rock" and "The Muppet Show". Some of the puppets he gave life to were Count von Count, Herry Monster, Floyd Pepper, the boomerang fish thrower Lew Zealand, Robin (Kermit's nephew), Gobo Fraggle, Marjory the Trash Heap, Emmett Otter and many others.

Rest in Peace, Mr Nelson.

He also voiced Emmett Otter. That was always my Christmas go to movie.

Emmett Otters Jug Band Christmas is my all time favorite Christmas special and my second favorite holiday special taking second place to "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown"!
